Anyone who knows us personally, or follows us on social media, will know that we LOVE Christmas. The fact that this year we get to decorate other peoples homes and offices as well as our own means Christmas is that extra bit more special.
We have had a mad couple of weeks making gorgeous door wreaths, table centres and garlands which has really helped us to get in the festive spirit. Our favourite job was definitely decking out myhotel Chelsea with all their Christmas decorations.
The hotel is a gorgeous with it's unique boutique style and homely feel and has a couple of branches in London and Brighton. They wanted Christmas decor that reflected this so we decided to go for traditional spruce and trees with a modern twist. All the branches are unique and reek of good taste and style - the Chelsea one in particular, with decor in a combination of our favourite colours (orange and pink) is so O&S we just adore it (and their hot chocolate is to die for!).
We decided that with their bright pink cyclamen already outside we would add to the view of the hotel from the street with wreaths in each window. Our willow wreaths have proved so popular in the lead up to Christmas that we decided to adorn each window with one - natural orange willow with pink baubles and dried orange slices, and of course a massive pink bow to finish it off!
We then made mini Christmas trees out of fresh spruce and an oasis cone - with twinkly fairy lights, baubles, beads and dried oranges they looked so cute they were perfect for the bar area.
We decided to give the Christmas trees in the conservatory and the reception area the proper O&S treatment - spray on snow and fresh orchids! A shout out to our Launch Party back in November where you couldn't see for orchids. For myhotel we used stunning white cymbidian orchids instead of phalaenopsis (all on individual water tubes to keep them fresh).
A little tip for anyone whos house is particularly warm, or who blasts the central heating like it's going out of style - we found that regular cut Christmas trees didn't last in the heat of the hotel, but when we changed it to a potted tree, which we could control the watering of more accuraltey. it lasted much longer and didn't wilt or droop like a cut tree would have.
